Most young people go in for sports because they enjoy it. Most older people go in for sports because they understand they must have some form of physical activity. To keep oneself physically fit, need 30-60 minutes of exercise daily as a munimum. The best activities for this are running, swimming, cycling, and cross-country skiing.
The sports program in the Russian Army have someone targes. If serves to improve your physical fitness, to foster courage and self-control, the hallmarks of a soldier. The main sports in the Army are gymnastics, obstacle course, hand-to-hand fighting, skiing, high-pace run and track and field events. Besides these sports, which are a must for body, a serviceman can participate in a sport ti his liking. Its may be football, basketball, shooting, swimming,ect. Nowadays karate is becoming very popular with the young serviceman. Athletes in this field have already won a great nubmer, of honours, for the Army, competing in the Moscow and Russian championships. The Army has the finest sports facilities in the country. These Military Sport Federation of Russia, witch has a football and atletic pitches, ice-hockey and figure-skating rinks, swimming pool and rooms for wrestling, fencing, boxing, basketball, tennis and other sports.
