Habits, especially the bad ones, are incredibly strong. It is quite complicated to dispose of the way of thinking, actions and deeds that have become permanent and override person’s will.
We deal with young people, most of them - VERY young, and there is a hope to break their bad habits. And if the habit is good....how very much we can use it purposefully and be happy!

Always put your best foot forward

When you are starting on a project or a journey, it’s best to start with good attitude and a lot of energy. First impressions can last for a long time. That’s why this proverb is also used when meeting new people or for job interviews. Having a positive attitude and working up to the highest standards is the best way to make a good impression.

To DAS. I suggest you continue to make someone a priority, if you can and are given it.

I hope you are right, Ann. Thank you for the answer

Never make someone a priority when all you are to them is an option -Wise, but very dull.
Ann, what would you advise to do?

To let the cat out of the bag

This proverb means that a secret has been revealed. It comes from the Middle Ages and was common advice given to people willing to buy something at the market. You may have thought you had purchased a tasty pig, but instead, the mearchant put a plain cat in the bag. To “let the cat out of the bag” meant: to reveal the seller’s trick.

we all have secrets...

Early Bird Catches the Worm

This proverb is a lot like the phrase “first come, first served.” It simply means that it’s usually best to be early. If you arrive earlier—whether it’s to a clothing store, restaurant, conference, etc.—you will have the best options to choose from. If you come later, though, the best clothes could have sold out, the restaurant could be full and have a long waiting time, etc.
