Devil-may-Care
Meaning:
– worry-free or carefree attitude
– reckless
– relaxed and not worried about the results of your actions
Examples:
She had a rather devil-may-care attitude towards money which impressed me at the time.
You must get rid of your devil-may-care attitude if you want to succeed.
He has a rather devil-may-care attitude to his studies.
DAS:
Rip Off
Meaning:
financial exploitation
the act of stealing
something that is not worth the value
Examples:
I can’t believe I paid that much money for that outfit. It was a rip off.
I can’t believe the company is releasing a rip-off of a classic video game.
The movie was so bad and the tickets so expensive, what a rip-off.
