Beginners' Course. Unit X At The Doctor's
1. The main text (page 49):
a) listen to the text as many times as you need to get up to the speaker's speed and to pronouce all the new words correctly. By now you should be able to read the text relatively fluently and translate it very quickly whithout even thinking what this or that word means;
b) make sure you pay a special attention to how we spell the new words as you will be given a written test on that next Thursday or Friday (to test your writing skills);
c) the first paragraph please learn by heart. I will ask every one of you in the class on Tuesday.
2. Additional text #1 on page 56. Listen to the speaker, read at the speaker's speed, translate and learn new words.
3. Grammar (Past Perfect):
a) go over the grammar material in the textbook, the schemes we put down in the class and make sure you understand how the Past Perfect Tense is related to other past times (past simple and past perfect continuous);
b) ex 3 page 55 please do in writing. We will do exercises 1 and 2 in the class on Tuesday.
A SPECIAL NOTE FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT BOTHER TO ATTENTD THE CLASSES!
1. Not attending (skipping) a class is a poor reason not to do your homework (unless you are in the intensive care, which I hope is not the case). Watch my lips: you will be evaluted as if you attend all classes, no indulgence will be given.
2. Make sure you copy everything from your classmates' copybooks (all schemes, new words apart from the new words in your textbooks etc.) and do all assignments I give you here on the Forum.
