  Once Mr. East came to the travel agency. He asked travel agent to recommend him an exciting trip.
 "How about traveling by ship?"
 "Let me think..."
 "What have you decided?"
 "I think it's too dangerous. Ship could sink."
 "Maybe traveling by plane can please you?"
 "Perhaps... Wait. It's very dangerous to! There could be an air crash."
 "I suppose, riding a bike is absolutely safe. Isn't it?"
 "No, no, no! It's extremely dangerous!!! I could fall down and hurt myself!"
 The next week Mr. East went hiking. He had a very good rest.

  Last year Mr. West had to go on a business trip to New York.  He packed his things, booked a room in a hotel, took a taxi and arrived at the airport just in time to hear the following:"Your attention, please. B. O. A. C. (British Overseas Airways Corporation) announces the departure of flight №573 to New York. Mr. West looked around: there was nobody to see him off.  He got into the plane and took a seat among other passengers. The plane took off. Mr. West made himself comfortable and asked the air hostess to wake him up 10 minutes before they arrived in New York.

  Фрида и Йен персонажи книги Эккерсли "Essential English" .  Мы видим их с другими учениками во всём учебнике беседуя, рассказывая шутки, читая истории, которые они пишут сами, поя песни или разыгрывая короткие сценки.
  Мы здесь, на станции с которой Фрида и Йен оправляются в Швейцарию.  Никто из студентов ещё не прибыл сюда, так что мы можем оглядеть станцию и увидеть насыщенную жизнь, которая царит вокруг.  Тут очень много платформ (всего семнадцать) с которых поезда отправляются и на которые приезжают.  Поезд Фриды отправляется с платформы № 2, так что давайте пройдёмся в этом направлении. Это билетная касса в которой вы можете купить билет для своего путешествия.  Давайте послушаем как пассажир покупает билет.
Пассажир: Я хочу билет в Брайтон, второй класс, пожалуйста.
Продавец: В одну сторону или обе?
Пассажир: В обе стороны, пожалуйста.
Продавец: Второй класс, в обе стороны, Брайтон.  Два фунта, пожалуйста.
Пассажир: Не могли бы вы сказать мне время, когда отправляется следующий поезд?
Продавец: В 8:55, вторая платформа. Если вы поторопитесь, то можете успеть на него.
Пассажир: Спасибо! (Он убегает в спешке)

                                                            MY LAST NEW YEAR HOLIDAY
  I spent my last New Year holiday very well.  I and my parents went for a walks, watched TV, read very interesting books.
  My New Year was quiet and happy.  We ate very tasty food, watched "Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath", "Die Hard 1", and "Die Hard 2". These films are very interesting!
 After twelve o'clock I opened my New Year's gifts.  New Year's gifts were Lego Art "Iron man", soft slippers, and hairpins.  I was very happy!
  I really love New Year's holiday! And I'm looking forward to the next holiday!

  She usually gets up at 7 o'clock and has a big breakfast. She walks to work, which takes her about half and hour. She starts work at 8.45.  She never has lunch. She finishes work at 5 o'clock. She is always tired when she gets home. She usually cooks a meal in the evening. She doesn't usually go out. She goes to bed at about 11 o'clock, and she always sleeps well.

Jack: That's great! Can I come over to your house to do my homework in place?
