TRUMP: And, Hillary, I'd just ask you this. You've been doing this for 30 years. Why are you just thinking about these solutions right now? For 30 years, you've been doing it, and now you're just starting to think of solutions.

CLINTON: And I have… well, not quite that long. I think my husband did a pretty good job in the 1990s. I think a lot about what worked and how we can make it work again...
TRUMP: Well, he approved NAFTA... he approved NAFTA…
CLINTON: ... million new jobs, a balanced budget...
TRUMP: He approved NAFTA, which is the single worst trade deal ever approved in this country.
CLINTON: Incomes went up for everybody. Manufacturing jobs went up also in the 1990s, if we're actually going to look at the facts.When I was in the Senate, I had a number of trade deals that came before me, and I held them all to the same test. Will they create jobs in America? Will they raise incomes in America? And are they good for our national security? Some of them I voted for. The biggest one, a multinational one known as CAFTA, I voted against. And because I hold the same standards as I look at all of these trade deals.
But let's not assume that trade is the only challenge we have in the economy. I think it is a part of it, and I've said what I'm going to do. I'm going to have a special prosecutor. We're going to enforce the trade deals we have, and we're going to hold people accountable. When I was secretary of state, we actually increased American exports globally 30 percent. We increased them to China 50 percent. So I know how to really work to get new jobs and to get exports that helped to create more new jobs.
TRUMP: But you haven't done it in 30 years or 26 years or any number you want to...
CLINTON: Well, I've been a senator, Donald...
TRUMP: You haven't done it. You haven't done it.
CLINTON: And I have been a secretary of state...
TRUMP: Excuse me.
CLINTON: And I have done a lot...
TRUMP: Your husband signed NAFTA, which was one of the worst things that ever happened to the manufacturing industry.
CLINTON: Well, that's your opinion. That is your opinion.
TRUMP: You go to New England, you go to Ohio, Pennsylvania, you go anywhere you want, Secretary Clinton, and you will see devastation where manufacture is down 30, 40, sometimes 50 percent. NAFTA is the worst trade deal maybe ever signed anywhere, but certainly ever signed in this country.
And now you want to approve Trans-Pacific Partnership. You were totally in favor of it. Then you heard what I was saying, how bad it is, and you said, I can't win that debate. But you know that if you did win, you would approve that, and that will be almost as bad as NAFTA. Nothing will ever top NAFTA.
CLINTON: Well, that is just not accurate. I was against it once it was finally negotiated and the terms were laid out. I wrote about that in...
TRUMP: You called it the gold standard.
TRUMP: You called it the gold standard of trade deals. You said it's the finest deal you've ever seen.
CLINTON: No.
TRUMP: And then you heard what I said about it, and all of a sudden you were against it.
CLINTON: Well, Donald, I know you live in your own reality, but that is not the facts. The facts are -- I did say I hoped it would be a good deal, but when it was negotiated...
TRUMP: Not.
CLINTON: ... which I was not responsible for, I concluded it wasn't. I wrote about that in my book...
TRUMP: So is it President Obama's fault?
CLINTON: ... before you even announced.
TRUMP: Is it President Obama's fault?
CLINTON: Look, there are differences...
TRUMP: Secretary, is it President Obama's fault?
CLINTON: There are...
TRUMP: Because he's pushing it.
CLINTON: There are different views about what's good for our country, our economy, and our leadership in the world. And I think it's important to look at what we need to do to get the economy going again. That's why I said new jobs with rising incomes, investments, not in more tax cuts that would add $5 trillion to the debt.
TRUMP: But you have no plan.
CLINTON: But in -- oh, but I do.
TRUMP: Secretary, you have no plan.
CLINTON: In fact, I have written a book about it. It's called "Stronger Together." You can pick it up tomorrow at a bookstore or in an airport…

I've made the transcripts to videos 1 and 5. There are still some inconsistencies, I hope I'll fix them throughout the day


1) The biggest challenge for Hilary Clinton is "How do you debate someone like Donald Trump?" There's never been a candidate or a debater quite like him. Trump doesn't do traditional debate prep with its policy briefings and in-depth analysis. He prefers off the cuff remarks and almost childlike insults.
The best thing for Hilary Clinton in terms of debating Trump would be for her to just not show up at all. The best way to engage with Trump is to let Trump hang himself with his own words and with all of his inconsistencies.

She has briefing books and she talks about debate strategy with campaign veterans and she would demark the debates with someone standing in for Trump. We haven't been told yet who exactly is going to stand in for trump.

Political scientists don't agree, how much the debates actually help you win the White House - the polls are inconclusive. What they do know is at least will be  box office must see television and don't expect the candidates to play it safe just wooing the voters in the middle. Instead, they will be trying to scare the living daylights out of their own supporters at the very prospect of the other person on the stage occupying the oval office.[/color] that will mean a lot of sharp attacks, not necessarily edifying but certainly entertaining




5) For forty years everyone running for president has released their tax returns. You can go and see nearly, I think, thirty nine - forty years of our tax returns. But everyone has done it. We know that IRS (Internal Revenue Service) has made clear that there is no prohibition on releasing it when you are under audit. So you gonna ask yourself: Why won't he release his tax returns? And I think there may be a couple of reasons. First, maybe he is not as rich as he says he is. Second, maybe he is not as charitable as he claims to be. Third, we don't know all of his business dealings but we have been told through investigative reporting that he owes about six hundred and fifty million dollars to Wall Street and foreign banks. Or maybe he doesn't want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he is paid nothing in federal taxes because the only years that anybody's ever seen were couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license. And they showed he didn't pay any federal income tax. So, If he's paid zero, that means zero for troops, zero for vets, zero for schools or health and I think, probably, he is not all that enthusiastic about having the rest of our country see, what the real reasons are, because it must be something really important, even terrible, that he's trying to hide. And the financial disclosure statement, they don't give you the tax rate, they don't give you all the details that tax returns would. And it just seems to me that this is something that American people deserve to see. And I have no reason to believe that he is ever going to release his tax returns because there is something he is hiding. And we'll guess, we'll keep guessing at what it might be that he is hiding but I think, the question is: Were he ever to get near the Whitehouse what would be those conflicts, who does he owe money to? "Well, he owes You" the answer is to that, and he should provide it.

Yes, I returned a little later than I had expected so I really do apologise for having kept you waiting for so long)

When I was trying to create the glossary to the second part of the film, I decided to categorise the terms according to the  chronological sequence in which they appear. I tried to brainstorm as many as possible, but I guess not all of them are essential for understanding the main idea of the film, so they may be excluded later. Correct me if I am wrong, but I suggest that we pre-teach the terms in advance to make the Students' comprehension of the video excerpt easier. Furthermore, in my opinion, it would be wise if we asked them some concept-checking questions to improve their listening for details and listening for the gist skills.

The possible options might be:

Правительство Шотландии вынесло на рассмотрение новый законопроект, предполагающий полный запрет диких животных в цирках. Законопроект был предложен первым министром Никола Страдженом в парламенте Шотландии.

Новый законопроект предполагает запрет на использование (дрессировку или выставку) животных в цирках по этическим причинам, согласно которым подобная практика является аморальной в шотландском обществе. За несоблюдение запрета владельцы цирков будут наказываться санкциями или уголовной ответственностью.

 

Законопроект был поддержан международной организацией по защите прав животных Animal Defenders International. Президент организации Ян Кремер заявил, что цирк – это не место для диких животных. «Мы рады, что правительство Шотландии придерживается такого же мнения. Мы надеемся, что этот закон положит конец страданиями животных», — заявил Кремер.

Дебаты вокруг данного вопроса возникли еще в 2014 году. Выяснилось, что более 98% шотландцев поддерживает запрет на использование диких животных в цирках. Позже издание Recensor сообщало о том, что правительство Великобритании рассмотрело вопрос о повсеместном запрете не только цирков, но и зоопарков.

На сегодняшний день запрет животных в цирках принят на территории 32 стран. В ближайшее время он вступит в силу в Англии и Уэльсе. Компания продолжает набирать обороты. 10 сентября 1984 года британский генетик Алек Джеффриз обнаружил, что ДНК каждого человека неповторимо и уникально – как уникальны отпечатки пальцев. Как отметил сам изобретатель, это было как озарение. Он рассматривал рентгеновские снимки ДНК и вдруг увидел, что цепочки ДНК отличаются. Джеффриз назвал их «генетическими отпечатками».  С помощью «генетических отпечатков» можно установить родство, доказать причастность к преступлению или наоборот – помочь выйти на свободу людям, попавшим за решетку из-за судебной ошибки – таких примеров уже достаточно много. Первой областью практического применения этого открытия стала криминалистика. К традиционной дактилоскопии – определению личности человека по отпечатку пальца – добавилась генетическая дактилоскопия – определение личности по волосу, по слюне на фильтре от сигареты, или частице кожи, или капельке крови. Ведь в любом биоматериале человека есть ДНК. И как установил ученый, она у каждого из нас уникальна. Это стало новым этапом развития криминалистики.
