Orally:Revise rules 7-8-9 by Benjamin Franklin (text below):
7. Keep going
Have you ever looked at a successful entrepreneur or business person and thought how lucky they are? Most of the time, luck has nothing to do with it. Hard work and sacrifice on the other hand have everything to do with it. Successful people deal with failure. They tackle their demons head on. They pick themselves up and keep going.
8. Don’t Give Up
“Energy and persistence conquer all things”
Achieving our goals can be downright exhausting. There will be days when you want to give up. There will be times when your energy levels flat line and you wonder why you bother getting out of bed. Yet you push forward, day after day because you believe in yourself and you have the determination and strength to back up that belief.
9. «A slip of the foot you may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over.»
In other words, be very, very careful when talking trash about people.
Gossiping at work is almost never a good idea. If there are issues, then it’s far better to address them openly.
Another Franklin aphorism went even further: «Speak ill of no man, but speak all the good you know of everybody.»
In writing:Prepare 9 phrases - one for each varsion of reported speech tense transitions, using the words from rules 7-8-9
